VT17: Medea

“Medea” was LUST’s production during the spring semester of 2017, directed by Edda Ahrent.

Medea is a Greek tragedy by Euripides, first produced in 431 BC, a story about a wife’s calculated desire for revenge against her unfaithful husband. The plot centers on Medea, the wife of Jason, a former princess of the “barbarian” kingdom of Colchis. When Jason leaves her for a Greek princess of Corinth, she finds her position in the Greek world threatened and hence, she will take vengeance on Jason through murder.
