“Medea” was the main production during the Spring semester of 2017.
A Greek tragedy written by Euripides Medea, first produced in 431 BC, is a story about a wife’s calculated desire for revenge against her unfaithful husband. The plot centers on Medea, the wife of Jason, a former princess of the “barbarian” kingdom of Colchis. When Jason leaves her for a Greek princess of Corinth, she finds her position in the Greek world threatened and comes up with a plan to exact her murderous revenge.
